Lac de Vassivière Camping La Perle, Creuse, Limousin, France.


Since the year 1970 is the Lac de Vassivère a major tourist attraction, where in no time welcoming harbors, and a vibrant beach life developed. It is therefore not surprising that the summer various events are organized on the water.

Vassivière Lake covers approximately 1,000 hectares. It contains six beaches, three fun ports, 300 km of trails and 45 km of shoreline. This not only lends itself more to swim only, also various water sports including sailing, pedal boating, fishing, horse riding .... The villages around Lac de Vassivière attach it to preserve the rustic character.
Including in the marina on the west bank of Auphelle boats can be rented. It is also possible to Auphelle from a cruise on the lake to make.
The largest island is the Île de Vassivière in the western part of the lake. This island is by boat via a footbridge or by train. The island is the Centre National d'Art et Paysage. This special architectural complex completed in 1991 by Aldo Rossi, who also designed Bonnefantenmuseum Maastricht. Both inside and outside the museum are beautiful artworks on display.  

North of Lac de Vassivière are the waterfalls of Jarraud, the "Niagara of the Limousin. 
It's certainly worth a visit Vassivière Lake!  

Between Vauveix Broussas and, on the outskirts of Lac  Vassivière is the "Parc d'Arbre Arbre and".  This park includes the ability to  high above the ground between the trees to climb.  Both young and old, this is a great attraction.  Highly recommended!

A visit to Vassivière Lake is fun to combine with and visiting "Le pont de Senoueix to Gentioux. This bridge you can enjoy a picnic while the kids have fun in the stream.
